The word 'allergy' might conjure up images of a rash or a runny nose, nothing to get too alarmed about. But sometimes allergic reactions are much more serious. Some reactions involve life-threatening breathing difficulties, and on rare occasions, severe, anaphylactic reactions can kill.

Living with the threat of anaphylaxis can be daunting, but we are here to help. On this section of the site you will find lots of advice about day-to-day living, avoiding your allergen(s), and what to do in an emergency. There is also a glossary, which will help you if you come across a word you're not familiar with.
